In collaboration with Yayasan Budi Penyayang, Ministry of Information, Communication and Culture, BSLN has taken role as a leader on national visual art development to ignite creativity and innovation inspiration through traditional continuity.

This inspiration was presented through reintroduction of exhibition towards block batik by emphasising design features, manufacturing processes and batik art technology itself. Apart from celebrating winners of  Seri Endon’s Trophy 2009 that was held on the next day, BSLN was honoured to organise EN BLOC exhibition that gives exposure to public on batik production, type, pattern and how to make it from initial stage towards  the end.

BSLN will also contribute and enrich cultural database by sharing motif data of batik blocks that were collected up to  800 blocks from institutions and collectors from Kelantan and Penang including National Craft Institute, Lyanne Batik and Yahong Gallery.

On that note, BSLN will organise Batik Gala Night and Malaysia Open Auction, an art work auction sale  by artistes from all over country and participating galleries in January 2010.
